Welcome to Memorial Presbyterian Church
Where Every Generation is a Blessing, and the Greatest of These is Love.
Hello there. I’m so glad you’ve found your way to our digital doorstep. Whether you’ve lived in the Hill Country all your life or you’re just pulling into Fredericksburg for a new chapter, I want you to know there is a place set for you here.
At Memorial Presbyterian, we are a family—in every sense of the word. Like any family, we cherish the stories of those who have walked these halls for decades, but we find our greatest joy in the sound of new footsteps. Our sanctuary is a place where the wisdom of years worships in a traditional fashion with contemporary meaning, and we believe that is exactly how God intended the Covenant community to look.
We Seek to Share Faith
Rooted in the Reformed tradition, we lean deeply into God’s grace. We aren’t a church of perfect people; we are a community of disciples trying our best to follow Jesus. As of now, we are a somewhat older congregation seeking to build for families looking for a firm foundation. From structured Christian Education to moments of intergenerational worship, we are committed to helping the next generation know they are claimed and loved by God.
We Encourage Hope
In a world that often feels hurried and disconnected, MPC is a place to slow down and breathe. We hold fast to the Great Ends of the Church, seeking to provide shelter for the spirit and a community that prays for one another. Here, your children will find “grandparents” in faith who are eager to cheer them on, and you will find a pace of life that prioritizes what truly matters.
We Show God’s Love for All
Our mission is simple but profound: to live out the truth that “the greatest of these is love.” This love isn’t just a sentiment; it’s an action. From our local outreach in Fredericksburg to our global mission partnerships, we invite you and your family to roll up your sleeves with us. There is no better way to teach and learn together about faith than by encouraging people of all ages how to serve a neighbor in need.
Our history is a gift we share, and your children are the future we wish to embrace. We invite you to join us this Sunday. Come as you are—bring the kids, bring your questions, and bring your heart. We’ve been waiting for you.
Peace and Grace,
Dr. Brian Wiggins
We welcome all people to join us on a journey of faith. We realize we will not always think the same, but we wish to unite in the mission of showing God‘s love to the world as we seek to imitate Jesus Christ.
We believe we are better together. We use traditional ways and seek new experiences that will open our lives to the love of God in Jesus Christ. Through fellowship, worship, Bible study, and ministry, we wish to encourage one another to love the world the way that God loves it. Turning to Jesus, our goal is to grow in faith, hope, and love.
